Who can use Vectone App?

All Vectone Mobile customers (both Pay As You Go and Pay Monthly) can use the Vectone App. You will need your mobile phone on hand in order to activate the Vectone App, as an activation code will be sent to your phone. If you are already registered on My Vectone, you can log in using the same password.

Do I need to sign up for Vectone Mobile before using the Vectone App?

Yes. If you do not have a My Vectone log in, you will need to click on Sign up when you launch the Vectone App. If you already have a My Vectone log in, then you can log in straight away. However, when you use your app for the first time, we will send you a verification code for your security.

How much does the Vectone App cost?

The Vectone App is free to download and install. Calls and texts you make through the Vectone App either cost the same or less than they would on your mobile. They also use the same credit balance as your mobile, so you don’t need to top up separately. You will need a Wi-Fi connection to use the Vecone App for making or receiving calls.

Can I use Vectone App to call the emergency services on 112?

Emergency calls are not supported on the Vectone App.

Can I have the Vectone App open on more than one device at the same time?

Yes, you can have it open and running on up to five devices at once (but you can install it on as many devices as you like). Remember, you can only make and receive calls, send texts and get voicemail if you're logged in on that device.

Does the person I'm calling or texting need to have Vectone App on their phone?

No. You can call any phone number, except premium rate numbers. To call premium rate numbers or shortcodes, you'll need to use your phone as normal.

How much does it cost receive calls and texts through the Vectone App when I'm abroad?

If you're on Wi-Fi only, it's free. But if you leave mobile data enabled while you're abroad, it'll keep syncing in the background over the mobile network and you'll have to pay the roaming charges for using data abroad, which can be very expensive. So before you leave, check your settings to make sure data roaming is switched off.

How do I access my contacts on multiple devices?

On an iPhone, you can share your contacts using iCloud. On Android, you can access your contacts across different devices using Gmail.

Can I use the Vectone App over 3G/mobile data?

To make and receive calls on the Vectone App, you must be connected to Wi-Fi. If you are using 3G/mobile data, then you can view your account details and send texts, however calls will not work.
